Repeat prescriptions

A repeat prescription can be requested for medication which your doctor has advised you to take on an continuing basis.

To order repeat medication

Tick the items you require on your printed repeat request form which is attached to your last prescription. If you do not have this, please write down the name, strength, and how many you take each day of the medication, in addition to your name and address on a piece of paper.

You can order repeat medication in the following ways:

• You can post your request to the surgery. You can also include a S.A.E. if you would like us to post your prescription back to you.
• Handed into the surgery post box located at reception.
• Ordered Online. Please ask at reception for further details.
• Using the collection service at a nominated pharmacy of your choice. Please check with your chemist if they offer this service and arrange directly with them.

Due to NHS guidelines we cannot accept prescription requests over the telephone.

Prescription/Medication Queries

If you need to ask us a question or have a query on your medication/prescription you can contact us via PATCHs using the medication request option. The PATCHs link is available on our home page and on our online consultations page if you do not have access to this already.

You can also contact us on the telephone or by coming into the surgery.

Please note that you can make queries but we will not be able to order any medication for you over the telephone due to NHS guidelines.

Repeat prescriptions online

Registered users can also order repeat prescriptions online. If you have not used this service before and wish to register for it please ask at reception. When registering please provide items of identification which confirm your photographic ID and address. Please note, you must register for this service before you can use it.

Allow two working days

Please make sure you allow enough time for your prescription to be processed before your medication runs out. Please allow 2 full working days before collecting your script. You will be required to have regular medication reviews and a reminder message may appear on your order form. Please contact the surgery to arrange your review, as they are important for your continued wellbeing.
