As the colder months are approaching, it is important to have your winter vaccinations to
protect you and those around you who may be vulnerable. Some people may be eligible for
both flu and COVID-19 booster vaccines. If you are offered both vaccines, it’s safe to have
them at the same time.
COVID-19 is still in circulation and indications are that cases are rising again. Despite few
cases of flu last year health experts suggest it may be in wider circulation this winter.
It is possible to have both illnesses at the same time so having the vaccinations reduces the
likelihood of serious illness should you get flu and / or Covid.
If you have been invited for a flu vaccination please contact the surgery to book an appointment. Or you can book at a pharmacy also offering the service. They will let the practice know you have had your jab.
There are 3 ways you can book your Covid-19 vaccination:
- Book online through the National Booking System by visiting www.nhs.uk
- Phone 119 (free to call)
- Attend a walk-in clinic, the details can be found on our website at https://www.twbstaffsandstoke.org.uk/coronavirus/how-to-get-a-vaccine-where-and-travelling
We are increasing the number of appointments, so
please keep checking for the latest availability.
